Newsletter 26 February

The 2025 season is fast approaching. Mark your calendars!
Our sporting news will be action-packed and varied.
Let’s start with our sections that set the pace of the week.
Three sections welcome you throughout the week:
- Seniors on Tuesdays.
- Men’s Day on Wednesdays.
- Ladies Day on Thursdays.
Our Junior sections and Young Golfers have a different rhythm for their activities and competitions. So, be sure to stay tuned to their communications to avoid missing anything.
The section rounds are the best way to start your competitions and are open to handicaps up to 45. Don’t hesitate to sign up. The rounds begin on Wednesday, March 19 for the Men and Thursday, March 20 for the Ladies.
All information, including schedules, will soon be available on the website, and you’ll also be kept up to date via their channels (email or Facebook pages).
Next, we have an exciting and varied program for our weekend competitions.
We’ll have the opening tournament on Saturday, March 22, and Sunday, March 23.
On April 5 and 6, we’ll play the Match Play Championship, in Gross. Unlike previous years, this championship will take place over a single weekend with direct elimination qualification brackets (instead of group stages).
2025 also marks the return of the Zinneke Cup with the Steenpoel. Save the date!
- On Saturday the 12th of Aprif, we’ll play at our course, followed by a barbecue.
- The next day, Sunday the 13th of April, we’ll play at Steenpoel, with a meal likely after the prize-giving ceremony.
More information will be provided in an upcoming newsletter.
Finally, our current sporting highlight is our Interclubs, which will take place over three days: Saturday, April 26; Sunday, April 27; and Thursday, May 1.
Five teams represent our club: three Men’s teams and two Ladies’ teams. Our Interclub weekend will be held this year in Northern France, at Ruminghem and Saint-Omer, on March 29 and 30.
I wish them great victories!
Last but not least, for our new members starting out, the certification test will begin on Sunday, March 17. For more info, contact your Pro.
Finally, I, along with all section leaders, am available to provide information. Feel free to reach out to me or send me an email at: bdgc.capitaine@gmail.com.
To stay up to date with our activities, several channels are used:
- Our website: https://www.bdgc.be/fr/membre/
- In the entrance hall of the clubhouse
- On the outdoor boards to the right of the ball machine
- Facebook posts on the club’s page and the section pages
- And during the season, we’ll keep you informed every month through this sports newsletter.
Luc, your Captain
